How to Play Lunibyte Badminton 3D on PC and Laptop
Lunibyte Badminton 3D brings badminton-inspired rallies to your desktop or laptop browser.
You can practice selecting different shots, positioning your character, and challenging a computer-controlled opponent.
This guide explains the keyboard controls and how to begin playing.
Step 1: Open Lunibyte Badminton
Visit https://lunibyte.com/badminton/ in your browser.
Wait for the 3D court and game interface to load.
If prompted, select Play as guest, review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and complete the agreement before proceeding.
Follow the game menu to start.
Step 2: Keyboard Controls
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Move forward | W or ↑ |
| Move backward | S or ↓ |
| Move left | A or ← |
| Move right | D or → |
| Drive | J |
| Drop | K |
| Smash | L |
| Jump Smash | I |
| Clear | U |
| Default high serve | Space |
| Low serve while serving | K |
Each shot serves a different purpose.
Drive — J
A drive sends the shuttlecock on a relatively fast, flat trajectory.
It can be helpful during quick exchanges.
Drop — K
A drop sends the shuttle toward the front of the opponent's court.
Choose this shot when you want to make your opponent move toward the net.
Smash — L
A smash is an aggressive attacking shot.
Use it when the shuttlecock is positioned favorably for an attacking return.
Jump Smash — I
Jump Smash is a more aggressive attacking option involving a jumping motion in the game's animation.
Timing and positioning are important.
Clear — U
A clear sends the shuttlecock higher and deeper toward the opponent's court.
This can give you more time to recover or push the opponent away from the net.
Step 3: How to Serve
Serving starts the rally.
When it is your turn, the game provides a serve selection interface.
On PC, you can select a serve using the visible options or use keyboard shortcuts.
Space is the default high serve, while K provides a low serve option when serving.
You may also adjust aim with left and right directional input.
Choose a serving style based on where you want the opponent to receive the shuttlecock.
Step 4: Learn Shot Selection
The objective is not to use the most powerful shot every time.
A better approach is to adapt to the incoming shuttlecock.
For example:
- Use a clear when you need a higher, deeper return.
- Use a drop to create a short reply.
- Use a drive for quicker exchanges.
- Use a smash when an aggressive attack is appropriate.
- Experiment with jump smashes after learning the basic timing.
Shot variety makes gameplay more interesting and helps you understand how different returns affect the rally.
Step 5: Improve Your Positioning
Use WASD or the arrow keys to move early.
Try to position your character before the shuttlecock arrives.
After hitting, prepare for the next shot instead of remaining motionless.
A common beginner mistake is chasing the shuttle too late and then attempting a difficult smash from a poor position.
Start by focusing on movement, then add more advanced shots.
Step 6: Common Problems
My Keyboard Does Not Work
Click the game court and make sure no text field or other application is capturing keyboard input.
I Cannot Smash
Check that the match is active and your player is in a position to reach the shuttlecock.
The Game Is Slow
Close unnecessary browser tabs and try a modern, updated browser.
I Accidentally Change Browser Behavior
Use the game's intended keyboard shortcuts and keep the game window focused.
Practice Challenge for Beginners
Try this simple exercise during your first few matches:
- Return several shots using Clear.
- Practice a short Drop.
- Use Drive in a faster rally.
- Try Smash when the shuttle is high enough.
- Experiment with Jump Smash when you are comfortable with movement.
Do not worry about winning every rally. Focus on recognizing the available shots and controlling your character.

Automatic swing and manual timing
The menu includes an automatic-swing option. With it enabled, concentrate on moving within reach and choosing the return you want. With it disabled, press the shot key or tap the shot button near contact time; selecting a shot from far away does not guarantee contact. During a rally, Space attempts the selected shot on a keyboard. During your serve, use the dedicated serve pad for an explicit depth and direction. The game may use a simpler return when the shuttle or ball is too low for the requested attacking shot.
If a menu, coach overlay or agreement is open, return to the match before trying movement or shots. A browser game can behave differently across devices. Safari and social-app browsers are not interchangeable, and this guide does not promise compatibility with every iPhone or embedded browser.
