CSV Shield
Prepare a CSV for sharing: drop, redact or mask sensitive columns and replace identifiers with consistent tokens, so the same customer gets the same token in every row and file that uses your key.
Stays on your device. Parsing and masking run in your browser. This page's security policy blocks it from sending data to any other server.
Pseudonymization is not anonymization. Anyone who has your secret key can re-create tokens for known values and link them back. Columns you keep — and combinations like ZIP code + birth year + gender — can still identify people. Review the result before sharing, and treat the output as personal data where the law says so.
1 · Load a CSV
Choose or drop a CSV file
CSV, TSV or TXT · up to 50 MB
…or paste CSV text
2 · Choose what happens to each column
Suggestions come from column names. Columns marked ⚠ contain values that look like emails, phone numbers, SSNs, card numbers or IP addresses.
3 · Secret key (for tokens and synthetic values)
Use the same key to get the same tokens across files. Keep it secret and never share it with the dataset. A key is never stored by this page.
4 · Export
