Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs 100% in your browser. Your photos never leave your phone or computer — you can even turn off Wi‑Fi after the page loads.

Why can't I open HEIC files on Windows or some websites?

HEIC is Apple's space-saving photo format. Many Windows PCs, websites and older apps cannot read it — JPG works everywhere.

Does the JPG keep my photo's location?

No. Converted JPGs are saved without location, camera or date metadata, so they are safer to share.

Is there a limit?

No hard limit — only your device's memory. Extremely large photos (over 16 megapixels) are resized slightly so every browser, including iPhone Safari, can handle them.
