Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs 100% in your browser. Your photos never leave your phone or computer — you can even turn off Wi‑Fi after the page loads.

Why can't I open HEIC files on Windows or some websites?

HEIC is Apple's space-saving photo format. Many Windows PCs, websites and older apps cannot read it — JPG works everywhere.

Does the JPG keep my photo's location?

No. Converted JPGs are saved without location, camera or date metadata, so they are safer to share.

Is there a limit?

No limit on how many photos — only your device's memory. Photos over 16 megapixels (for example 24 MP or 48 MP shots from recent iPhones) are scaled down to about 16 MP so every browser, including iPhone Safari, can handle them; that is still big enough for a sharp 13×17-inch print.
